Penny Arcade is a lot of different things, and has been for more than twenty years. Founded before the word “webcomic” had been coined, our comics and editorial content about nerd stuff were eventually joined by the Child’s Play Charity, whose global network improves the lives of children in hospitals, and PAX, which is the greatest gaming convention in the world.
Jerry Holkins is always trying to tuck songs or poems into his actual work, which is to write comics and articles about videogames and pop culture. Even now, he is trying to see if he can get away with ending the next sentence with “Vulture” in a way that is smooth. He failed miserably. He prefers hobbies that result in things to eat or drink, like cooking, brewing, or roasting coffee.
Mike Krahulik has always liked to draw which is great because his job is to draw Penny Arcade. This job didn’t exist before he made it up and he’s very glad that he doesn’t have to do something else that involves spreadsheets. He likes the indoors and If we’re being honest with each other here, he probably plays too many video games.
