I don't try to, like, "pull rank" in my house. At HolCorp, we try to leverage a flat organizational structure to maximize agility in a changing market. I'm all about what has been termed "dat collaborative decision making process." But I have definitely established that we are A Voltron Family, God Dammit, whatever my previous relationship to the brand may have been.
I don't feel especially scarred by it, but there are still weird cultural craters in my knowledge that were the result of a church trying to act as a bulwark against a doomed world. The eighties pop and metal that might cause others to tap rhythmically on their steering wheels still fills me with a chilly dread, on account of its Satanic origins. The weird part as it relates to Voltron, and something we discuss in the upcoming podcast, is that I could watch the Voltron that was made out of vehicles and shit because there was no sorcerous advisor! This is literally the most rudimentary aspect of that weird-ass Spiritual Police State. Whenever I tell people about things from my childhood that were my "normal" I learn that they were not "normal" and were, perhaps, "fucked."
Speaking of Acquisitions Incorporated, Episode 2 just hit:
If you let it play in another window, it's basically a podcast. Think about it! Life hacks ;)
(CW)TB out.
