My food hole is healing nicely, thank you for asking. Obviously, the chicken that was trying to kill me was removed and burned. But I ate the rest of the chicken from that dinner last night so that it would understand that I can't be intimidated in this way. I did the thing with the chicken where I pointed at it with two fingers, roughly where its beady little eyes might have been, and then pointed the fingers toward my own eyes so that it knew the score.
This did put a hole in my Monster Hunter time, but we did write a strip about it which is sort of like playing it, kinda. Monster Hunter Rise is really about riding monsters around and engaging in Pokemon style battles, but you'll often come into an area where two beasts are engaging in some very performative displays and I like to think that they're kinda in on the whole thing.
I wasn't really in a place to talk about PAC-MAN 99 before, I was doing stuff, or at any rate having stuff done to me. But the idea that there's still headroom in this PAC-MAN shit after all this time is incredible. Championship Edition was that remake that actually understood what game they were remaking, never an assumption, and rarely the case. It maps perfectly onto the broader Battle Royale concepts Tetris 99 established, and it's only made me hungry for more - I'm ready for Galaga 99 essentially yesterday.
(CW)TB out.
