It seems like every day, a different part of an airplane - one I haven't really heard of before, a flange or manifold - shears off a plane and falls on cars in the parking lot. It's entirely possible that these aren't even especially important pieces! Friends, the "woggler" may not even be responsible for keeping the plane airborne. That said, purely as a rhetorical excursion, I would like it to remain firmly attached to the plane. Is that a reasonable request? Is there a place I can file that?
PAX East is fast approaching, as in… like… tomorrow, and in those cases where you want to see me there I hope that the inverse also occurs. But! the Show Store is currently open for those of you playing the Home Game on the various Twitch channels, and there's a few items that I think are super cool but the whole range is (as per usual) incredibly thoughtful throughout.
Twenty Years is a long time for anything, but luckily Kiko - and then, Dabe and Kiko - have captured unbelievable photography of the event at every turn, in every city, every year. The book is a true labor of love winnowed down from the full set of photographs, and it's almost impossible to stop turning the pages. Just an incredible artifact.
They're experimenting with the multipanel pieces and I'm obsessed with this shit. It's all very alien to me, but the people I work with care about clothing very much and they know all the secret words to speak them into existence. This is a great example, but there are a few others - check out the Split Tee - if you want to see them playing around with some really wild concepts that speak to this year's Rock Show Tearaway Band Poster Telephone Pole aesthetic.
I had to put this in here because I've seen PAX 2004 shirts that look like this and it stirs the heart, somehow. Check out the rest!
(CW)TB out.
