I had great time in Spokane this weekend. Thanks to all the people who came out and saw me at Merlyn’s. I got there a little early and bought some Batman comics. I intended to sit there alone for an hour reading comic books while my parents and grandparents shopped downtown. Instead I ended up spending three hours there drawing sketches, signing autographs and chatting about videogames. So thanks to everyone, I hope you guys had as good a time as I did.
I need to ask you guys a favor now. It’s not actually for me but rather my niece. She is in high school and apparently writing a paper for school. She needs to interview someone working in the field of special effects (her chosen profession upon reaching the stage of life commonly referred to as “grown up”) I’m not so sure it’s a good thing that she reads Penny Arcade but the fact is she does and she was hoping I could ask on the website for someone to help her out. Being the fucking kick ass uncle that I am I of course agreed. So if you or someone you can knock unconscious, sedate and force to cooperate works in the field of special effects please fire me off an email. I asked her and it apparently does not matter if you create these effects (the special ones) for film or videogames. Thanks in advance for your help.
