I mentioned the Nerdcore Rising documentary a few weeks ago and I know a lot of you were interested in it. Well the girls doing it have decided to help build interest in the film by highlighting one of the many nerds they met on their journey each week. They call it the Nerd of the Week and the first Nerd is actually PAX. I'll go ahead and plug the Youtube version in right here so you all can check it out. I think they did a fucking incredible job cutting this together.
You can see clips of our interview in there. They interviewed Tycho and I for a couple hours and it was probably the strangest interview we've ever given. It actually took place immediately after PAX was done. Tycho and I had just done three or four other interviews with different publications and then we sat down with the ladies from Vaguely Qualified productions. We were both mentally and physically exhausted from the event and so I think our guard was sort of down. Generally we try and play the parts whenever we do an interview. We know people want to talk to Gabe and Tycho, not Mike and Jerry and so we try and give them that. We made some jokes but on the whole I think the interview is uncharacteristically honest. It's certainly much more authentic than any other interview we've ever done. I'm not sure how much of it will end up in the film but if you're a fan of PA it should be pretty interesting to see.
