We typically don't go in for contests, but the prize on this one was too rad. We had to.
Here is what we need from you, and it's crafty: we need your most amazing Katamari. Size is not our primary indicator of quality, though it will certainly be taken into account. Photoshops, sculptures, whatever you like - however you can best win this contest is what we want to see from you. Okay. Now get a load of this!
First Place Winner: The Head-end Noby Noby Boy scarf made by Keita Takahashi, the creator of Katamari Damacy, signed art from Katamari Forever producer Kazuhito Udetsu (below), a copy of Katamari Forever, and the Japanese soundtrack. Totally, incredibly awesome.
Second Place: Tail-end Noby Noby Boy scarf also made by Keita Takahashi, a copy of Katamari Forever, and the Japanese soundtrack. Awesome.
The first and second place scarves - and where else will you see that phrase today - have a very special power. They connect, like so:
So you aren't just entering a contest, and you're not just earning a unique item for your neck slot. You're practically finding a soulmate.
Third Place: A copy of Katamari Forever and the Japanese soundtrack. This is still awesome, obviously. But not as awesome.
Entries must be sent to katamaricontest@gmail.com before November 6th. We'll then husk your entries, and let them cure on woven mats. Shortly thereafter, we'll begin the judging.
