We don't actually get to pick the games that we play for the First 15. This means that sometimes we end up playing some real stinkers. It also means that occasionally we discover an awesome game that neither of us ever would have picked up on our own. That's the case with today's episode.
Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess is game I had never even heard of, but holy hell was it fun!
Before I became a Webcomic superstar I worked at a Circuit City selling computers. I used to chat with the guys back in car audio because our departments happened to be near each other. They used to install some pretty ridiculous systems in their own cars and I remember hearing about how they "protected" their equipment. I guess it was not uncommon to attach razor blades to the back of your newly installed stereo. The idea being that a thief would reach back there to yank out your gear and end up shredding their hands on rows of these blades. I'm not sure how effective this stragegey was. Personally I think I'd rather have someone yank out my CD player and leave, rather than bleed to death in my car. I remember hearing later that one of these inventive installers got in trouble with the police. Something about setting traps for human beings being illegal. The reason I mention that story is because Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess is a game about setting traps for human beings! I didn't see any razor blade encrusted stereos, but there were plenty of bear traps and an entire section of traps labeled "shame" so that seems cool.
If that sounds interesting you should watch the video. Tycho and I had a lot of fun with it. You can also watch more of our new YouTube stuff over on the official PATV page and don't forget Club PA Members get early access to most of this stuff.
