I’ve been working on upping the production value of our Gabir Motors streams. So far, I’ve made the waiting screen slightly more fancy. Dabe is currently working on a custom intro and overlay for these streams that I am sure will be amazing. In the meantime, I have added some cool sounds and drawings. I’ve had a few requests from the Pit Crew for a high res version of the new waiting screen art. Here’s a good look at Gabir Liel and Carson Bolt.

If you’re curious about the history of Gabir Motors, I’d like to direct you to this 17 year old comic strip. This is not the first time Tycho and I have attempted to play racing games cooperatively, but this is certainly the farthest we’ve ever gotten down the rabbit hole. It’s hard to believe but I’ve been at this sim racing thing for three months now. In fact, one of the races I competed in last night was on the track I actually learned on. It’s pretty cool to look at the difference.

The Penny Arcade iRacing league has 110 members now and our weekly races have been action packed. We’ve got organized practices every day of the week and official races every Thursday. We’re trying lots of different styles of racing and have some of the nicest voice chat I’ve ever heard in a video game. If you’d like to join us, just find us in the iRacing league directory and send a request. I am accepting all racers regardless of skill level. Most of us are very new but we’ve got a handful of veterans who are full of good tips.
Thanks to the Pit Crew for tuning into these races and cheering us on. I’ll see you out there on the track!
