Gabriel suggested an idea for a comic we had already done in the past, indeed in Earth's distant past - 2012, which our database informs me was a real year.
I was like, yeah man, I bet you do like it. You already liked it enough that you drew it once already. I then suggested a possible way to end it, specifically the way we originally did ten years ago, and he laughed out loud. "That's great!" he said. He didn't believe me about it being old until I found it, which was much easier thanks to our now functional archive. But his rejoinder is literally something we have heard before, and from multiple people - in particular, those who are engaged in very long running properties. Comics, yes, but we met someone who was a writer on The Simpsons at SDCC and apparently this Ten Year Rule was a known phenomenon in their writer's room also.
PAX West is today! And several days hence! And unlike in the barbarous eons before, you can shop the PAX store from the comfort of your own home - indeed, if our statistics are right, from the very palm of your hand. The design team has truly outdone itself this year. Take a look - I'm going to bed now. I forgot my laptop and I had to type all of this on my phone. Hope to see you at the show, and don't forget to check out the Voodoo Ranger + Acquisitions Incorporated Collab Dual Wield on the Fourth Floor over by the escalators. It's even better than the last one, it's so good they entered it in a competition or some shit. All I know is that some strange force empties these cans - elven trickery? More research is required.
(CW)TB out.
