Having mastered one of the virtumal realmz, Gabriel has sought a second throne in another - that of Poker Stars VR. He's not in there playing Poker, though - there's a bunch of games in there, and he's been a Blackjack player anytime he's in a casino, I assume because he keeps winning and just doesn't stop winning. I wonder why more poeple don't try to emulate his strategy. There's a Den of Sin across the street from PAX Aus, and once he was playing Blackjack so hard and so well that I shit you not people stopped asking for cards and just bet on him.
I was messing around on the Reddit for the game and people were talking about how to get more chips without paying for them, a money for nothing and your chips for free type situation, or asking if chips ever went on sale. The two replies I saw first, clearly from denizens of that place, were like… Hey, man. Don't buy these chips. Buying these chips is the worst idea ever - it's gambling, literal gambling, without any of the upside. Wait until they give you free chips, and use those chips to fleece lower stakes tables because most people who play Poker are idiots.
It was heartwarming bro content. For the record, my Poker Technique is to pretend I don't really understand Poker. This also works well in Chess.
Heading over to Durty Dwabbb's place here as soon as I get done with the strip, where he'll already been well underway on some City of Beats. There's lots of games "like" this in the Roguelite space, but they don't make cool music while you play them, and it's incredibly responsive. Then we might check out Ravenswatch, which is the new one from the Curse of the Dead Gods crew. They know how a game is supposed to feel, and they've done it again here. It's in Early, Early Access, but if your problem with Hades was that you couldn't play it with your friends, well, maybe that's not a problem anymore.
(CW)TB out.
