Obviously, it won't do to come off the blocks with an unnecessarily aggressive posture when all I'm trying to do is inform. Media broadly has become a cauldron of omnidirectional cruelty whose barely concealed purpose is to foment and then tirelessly stoke insensate rage - and for what? "Engagement"? The marred coin of a twisted realm. That said, Willow on Disney+ is literal violence.
I just have to trust a person when they say that they liked it. I don't see any reason to get into a fight with a fellow serf over whatever splashed out of a muiltinational's cloaca this month. You and I are doing shit. We all gotta get these graves dug so our mothers don't die where animals can eat them. You know? But we definitely can't hang out if you think that literal inversion of Willow's themes constitutes a continuation of Willow or a show you should watch. It barely holds together.
With HBO Max and Disney launching completed shows into space, it sure seems like these whackjobs are starting to figure out that literally every company can't maintain its own exclusive Babylonian Garden of prestige programming. Of course, you and I already knew this. We know how much money we have and we know how much of it these chucklefucks can have from the total. But they don't understand what money is, because they have more of it than they can count. That's why when their Big Ideas touch down on the Earth they have an alien quality: they are not human ideas.
I always said that eventually the proliferation of streaming services comes around to one of these jagoffs re-inventing cable again. I assumed that was just me listening to my Devil Shoulder and being a Bad Person. But no. It's absolutely true.
(CW)TB out.
