Somebody asked Mork if I was doing okay, and I am, at least as I define it. If I were to go into a definition of what is and isn't okay, though, I think you would not recognize it. Ultimately, if the world is going to be as fucked up as it is and I'm never supposed to mention it, it just feels worse. And so the conversations people are having with him about me are, essentially, why I hadn't really spoken up before. There's an inflection point somewhere between making other people's lives worse and making my own life worse and eventually some portion of the diagram had to buckle. The alternative was to use my own mind as the load bearing structure for the universe.
I could tell you what the problem is, but I do that all the time. It's not anything you don't know. I feel like any clear-eyed observation of this level of wealth concentration, corporate dominion, a fractured and untrustworthy information environment, and what a time like this offers sociopathic grifters whose feeding grounds have just been made global should probably inculcate even greater levels of despair. I remember thinking "More information, readily available, will surely be the answer" but I'm starting to think that might have its own challenges, guys! Anyway, yeah. The system we are all shouldering sucks, and it sucks by explicit design - anywhere entropy is not currently digesting it.
Got some tender #Fridabe activity popping off, he's already feasting on that new Humanity puzzler which is really, really good. But! Around noon, hot on the heels of last Friday's exquisite Ravenswatch collab, we'll be joined by the larcenous Horsethief and Yukmouth, in all his dankness, to take the new co-op tactical roguelite Inkbound for a spin. Developer Shiny Shoe's pedigree, emerging as they have hot off the superlative Monster Train, is in a very strong place and I'm overjoyed to be playing Inkbound again now that it's hit Early Access. Come see why that is!
(CW)TB out.
