Wheel Saint is done for now but Sam will be back! I’ve got a few more goodies from the making of this series to share in the meantime.
Wheel Saint has been a fun challenge. I struggled with some of the car action but it was a great learning experience and I’m already thinking about how I could do it better next time. There were a bunch of times during the making of this season that I would run to my wife Kara and ask her to take a picture of me so I could get the exact pose I wanted. Check out my bed head hair!
The first panel of today’s page was a very important scene to me. In my head this is probably an awkward moment for Sam. The soul he has rescued is now ushered into Heaven while he stays behind. “He probably doesn’t look” I thought.

I also learned how to make a timelapse video in Clip Studio. You can watch me color one of the panels from today’s page right here.
This was easy to make so I plan on doing more in the future that show off the entire process from start to finish. Each of these pages took me between 6-8 hours so a full timelapse should be pretty cool.
The response to Wheel Saint has been incredible and I really appreciate all the kind messages you all have been sending our way. We return to the normal Penny Arcade on Monday but Jerry and I are already discussing the next Wheel Saint story!
