I’ve been spending a lot of time pouring over pictures of stickers and albums from the 80’s and it’s bringing back lots of good memories. I can still recall walking into a sticker shop at the height of the collecting craze and being blown away by what I saw. It was like a candy store for art and I was ensorcelled. They had stickers on sheets, on rolls, in packs of cards, holographic, puffy, scratch and sniff, googly eyes, lenticular, I can still smell the shop when I think about it.
It’s fun looking back at stickers from the 80’s and seeing the ones I had. I’m also finding a lot of designs I never saw as a kid. While browsing through old stickers I discovered this incredible Dungeons and Dragons sticker sheet from Hallmark!
As soon as I saw it I fell in love and I knew I had to make my own take on it. So here’s a look at my latest Acquisitions Inc. sticker sheet inspired by this Hallmark classic.
I relly went hard on the painted background for this one.
Much like my Easter sticker sheet this fully printed sheet is a bit much for me to do at home. I did a few tests and the rate at which I blow through ink is just ridiculous. It’s much better to have these sorts of sticker sheets printed professionally so I have passed both of these designs onto Lidija who runs the PA store.
Gabe's Sticker Shoppe will be getting some new designs this week. Jim and his Unicorn as well as my Unicorn and Rainbow designs will be hitting the store this week and like the Lil' G&T and Eyrewood sheets currently up, these will be profesionaly printed and available to everyone. Club PA members have access to our handmade stickers each month. Lidija told me she thought the 200 February sticker packs would probably last until early this week so if you’d like to grab one they are probably still available. This pack contained the Fruit Friend valentines and Green Flame Omin! We also delivered an extra 100 of the January sticker pack since they sold out in 15 minutes.
