Except for the time they went extreme with it, Ubisoft's Prince of persia games have essentially been bangers. I haven't played the roguelite one, but it's reviewing well and it's made by Evil Empire, which I'd say are two things that sort of naturally go together. There's been a remake on the books for a while it seems like, and at Ubi's Ubisoft thing a few days ago they dropped a teaser that said the new one was gonna drop in 2026. 20 fuckin' 26! That kind of optimism stirs the heart.
So, today's the day. Acquisitions Incorporated: Cyberpunk RED premieres today at 4pm PT!

I sorta had to watch Cyberpunk: Edgerunners again to get hyped, and not just to hear I Really Want To Stay At Your House twice. Edgerunners and Phantom Liberty genuinely understand and project the setting in the way I always dreamed something would. You gotta understand; this was my Thing. I once made a whole campaign based on Queenryche's Operation Mindcrime theme album, track for track. I had it pretty bad.
All the cool motion graphics in the teasers, etc. were done by Dabe, who is pleased with them, and for good reason. The studio was transformed into a Hacker's Paradise per Laura Frohmwerk's instruction, and elevated as a space by Kiko's sharp eye. This is a place where neon bulbs are suspended from the ceiling by HDMI cables; I dunno. Feels kinda Cyberpunk. And it's run by Mike Pondsmith, who sorta made the whole thing?!
There's a Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Kit that picks up where the show everybody likes left off, and if you want to see where all this stuff started on tabletop it ships later this month - you can even get it for Roll20, which is probably the most Cyberpunk way to play if we're being honest.
(CW)TB out.
