I spent the last week working on stickers, but now I’m ready to open up new commission slots for August. I started doing these last month for the first time in 25 years. Before that I had only ever offered commissions during the Child’s Play charity dinner. It’s one of the requests I get most often though and after discovering the site Artistree I decided to give it a try on a regular basis. Last month I did four commissions and really enjoyed the process! I’ve worked with lots of big companies over the years but getting to work one on one with PA readers was awesome. Nothing beats hearing directly from someone how much a custom drawing I did means to them and I want to do more of that going forward.
So if you would like to see your D&D, MMO (last month I drew two FF14 toons) or any other original character drawn by me, here is your chance. I’m using a site called Artistree that has excellent built in tools to communicate and share progress. All four of my commissions last month went incredibly smooth thanks to their setup. You can see all the details and make a request on my Atristree page right here. Basically you send me a request with info about your character and whether you want a background or not and within a week I get you a couple sketches to look at. You can give me feedback and I’ll work until we get a final sketch you like and then I’ll send you inks. Once those are approved I’ll color the piece and send you a high res 8”x11” 600 DPI file suitable for printing as well as some smaller JPEGs. I put a lot of work into these and so the entire process will take about a month. I don't expect them to go very fast, but I will be taking the first four I get.
Thank you so much to the folks who reached out to me last month and secured my previous four commission slots. Everyone who got a drawing was so happy with the results it made me feel awesome. One is even getting their commission as a tattoo! I can’t tell you how much it means to have people supporting my art this way.
