Having been bold enough to buck the trend of community mandated hatred, now we have to enact the odious task of reeling all that goodwill back in. Well, not really. Grub has merely determined that he doesn't need something like Highguard in his life, though he has certainly enjoyed the game in its many primordial configurations. I think it looks very cool, but I'm intimidated as fuck to go in there as thirty-three percent of a three person team, brow damp, logging into sweaty lobbies dot com
We might have used different terms in the strip, but we have not exaggerated the kind of psychological load Wildlight is offering as a recreational activity. This is a literacy test where failure results in death. Again, I think it's cool. I know what they're doing and the audience for it is not zero; the team is stacked with ballers representing billions in sales. I think they made a game for them. Several games, in fact.
I mean, I like chicken thigh and sausage and shrimp, and if you said you could make a savory stew pot of that shit with a chocolate-dark roux, I'd say, now hold on a second Imaginary Culinary Interlocutor. Let me get the Tony's. But that stuff cooks for a hot minute and by the end it's all one thing. Every bite kinda has all of it. I feel like there are pretty bright lines between the different mechanical fiefdoms being proposed here. We must consider that gumbofication has not been achieved.
Some of it I think is just odd, given the menu of inspirations they choose from. War Chests are not Loot Boxes as you might imagine, that's just what they call their Season Pass. Mining resources instead of getting them off creeps - a Titanfall Classic - mostly just confuses me. But the most whackadoodle thing about the whole enterprise is that it's three players per side. Not only does the big map and the horsies make me feel like four would be a good start, there's tons of role and skill level conversations we can't have. I feel like that, by itself, makes way too many other decisions for you.
I'm down in California today visiting My Two Dads (Jerris Crawkins/Chreremy Perford), but when I get back home I'll suck it up and lose a bunch of Highguard. I will consult the bones.
(CW)TB out.
