Presumably as the result of a powerful spell, the sky overhead Seattle has been set to Deluge for a week or so. I was in the studio yesterday and it was literally a roar inside the building. You walk to your car, a couple hundred feet, and it's like you stepped out of a swimming pool.
Obviously, such rains might also be a portent. Perhaps they are advance troops from an enraged and ill-used sea, sent to scout ahead. They may be meant to inspire us to take the process of erosion into our own hands, accelerate it, to grade and dimple the Earth, to make ready the world for new growth. The main thing is, my socks got wet and then stayed real wet. I think I have Athlete's Foot. That's not a metaphor: I think I need some kind of cream IRL.
Durty Dwab is out of town, leaving me here to hold vigil oe'r the embers of the stream. As soon as I'm done writing the strip, I'll start up the stream - sometime around 10:30am PST or so I'm guessing - and I'll jump into this Cocoon shit. That link goes to Christian Donlan's review at Eurogamer, and if that weren't enough to tantalize you, Cocoon is from ex-Playdead people who did Limbo and Inside. It's apparently bonkersville and I can't wait to find out how.
(CW)TB out.
