There's a whole video you need to watch to understand what is even happening in Silent Hill: Ascension, called "The Essentials." That's because it's a genuinely weird combination of livestream, choose your own adventure, FOMO pump, and pay to win. And that certainly sounds bad, but there are some whacked out, really cool ideas in here along with the rest of the Modernity that has gripped so much of the space. There is, in fact, a Silent Hill Battle Pass, which… well, just read the strip.
As soon as I get done writing the next strip, #Fridabe begins in earnest - Durty Dwab is gonna get started on stream round 10am PT doing the tutorial and starter content for ENDLESS Dungeon, a roguelike-y, tower defense-y co-op thing I assume based largely on Dungeon of the Endless which I always thought was cool. I've been waiting to play for real to have a solid co-op partner, and Dabe has always offered as much.
Then, for the back half of the stream after Noon, we're gonna play the release version of Headbangers: Rhythm Royale, which we loved during Steam NextFest. It's literally a rhythm game mixed with PUBG or whatever and it's fun as hell for true adherents of the genre. It's on GamePass too, apparently! We'll try to get you in.
(CW)TB out.
