This motherfucker was on Reddit immediately after opening the box because it was already goof troop somehow - already brutalized by his cyberdeath nimbus. He just had to go to desktop mode and restart it. But still! I'm confident it was his fault somehow.
I was talking to him about how you can just plug in a headset with a microphone in the top, in the Deck's thrice-blessed, normal-ass Goddamn headphone jack, and your regular game night can often be ported directly to this miraculous device with no loss of signal. Steam has all that type of stuff built in. And this is the first time I've thought of it, I just never needed to before, but you can just install Discord on there. Just hold the power button, go to desktop mode, and install it because it's a fucking computer. It reminded me of a magical feeling moment in the original Shenmue I mention all the time. We're used to having to parse the given logic of a particular game in order to live there and accomplish tasks, and so when the flashlight batteries were dead and you couldn't see in the basement, at first I'm like… okay. But what does it mean, conceptually, to be battery-less? How is that modeled here? And then you just buy batteries at the konbini. You feel like that all the time with a Steam Deck.
Now that Acquisitions Incorporated: Season Two has wrapped - and only the live Finale at this week's PAX Unplugged remains - I have your next thing all ready to go. The most recent episode of Seattle By Night - a campaign which has a few delicious treats for those of you looking forward to The Chinese Room's revitalized Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 has just hit, and it's here:
Of course, you can also start with the first episode of the new season, which would work - you could even start at the first episode of the first season, if you're nasty like that. This is about as good as we can do a show like this, on my side of the table, but Storyteller Jason Carl is probably the best to ever do it at the head of the table. We'd love to get another season of this if we can; these characters are super fun and for dead things there's a surprising amount of room to grow. Check it out!
(CW)TB out.
