I feel very badly for the folks affected by this nasty Insomniac leak. As someone who makes things for a living, I can say that having your work seen before it’s ready really fucking sucks. It’s like someone tasting your dough instead of a finished loaf of bread. I have to imagine it’s only made worse by the fucking glee with which what passes for games journalism these days has reported on every detail. Certainly reporting that someone's pants have been pulled down is in line with their job description, but detailed articles about the color and state of the victims underwear seems ghoulish to me.
I keep discovering great games to play on my Steam Deck. I had spent some time with Silent Hope on the Switch and really liked it. I discovered there is a PC version last night and immediately installed it. It looks and runs beautifully on the Deck, plus it’s the sort of game that is perfect for a mobile device. Silent Hope is a fun little action JRPG with a Rogue-Like design that lends itself to bite sized play sessions.
I also highly recommend Darksiders 3 on the Steam Deck. I played this entire game start to finish on PC and loved it. When it came out on Switch I picked it up again but the performance was terrible. I grabbed it again on the Steam Deck to see how it ran and ended up playing for three hours. Actually all of the Darksiders games are great on the Deck so don’t skip them if you’re after some kick ass action RPG action.
Both of these games are on sale right now too!
