I’ve got to say not being on Twitter has been very refreshing. It’s true I’m still posting artwork over on my Instagram but the vibe there is so different. Instead of being flooded with spicy hot takes, I just see a feed of art and inspiration from creators I like.
My sticker adventures continue! For those curious about my setup here I’m using the Canon Pixma IP8720 for my printing and the Cricut Joy Xtra for cutting. I've been making Merch stickers just because he’s easy to draw, plus I can quickly do lots of different tests like trying different paper and laminating styles. It took a few days but I feel like I’m starting to get a handle on the process. I’ve been keeping my tests in a little book with the hopes that in a few months I’ll be able to compare my first stickers with the stuff I’m making at that point.
After a lot of individual stickers I finally printed and cut my first sticker sheet.
I spoke with Lidija who runs our store and she wants to offer some of these sticker designs I make in the shop! This little Merch sticker sheet will be the first one I believe and I’ll be sure and let you know here when you can pick it up. I also plan on sending a big batch of stickers to PAX East with Jerry for him to hand out at the show.
Now that I have a good idea of how the equipment works I’m stepping up my game. The next sheet I’m working on will be an Eyrewood set. So far I just have the Hanna design done. Once I have nine or so I’ll put them all on one cool looking sheet.
In non-sticker related news, I picked up the game Dorfromantik during the Steam Winter sale and love it. This is a really relaxing and beautiful little strategy/puzzle game. It’s a perfect match for the Steam Deck as well.
