We are just about one month out from the 2026 Child’s Play charity dinner and auction! On November 13th we will once again be getting together to raise money for the cause we started all the way back in 2003!
Here we are 23 years later and what started as a toy drive has turned into something much larger. We still give gifts of games and toys to kids in hospitals all over the world but Child’s Play does so much more than that these days! I would say the biggest innovation has been our Game Tech program though. You can send all the games and technology you want to a hospital and hope it helps kids but if there isn’t a person at the hospital whose job it is to know how to set up all that technology, and use it with the kids, well a lot of it can end up wasted.
Your donations allow us to get a Game Tech set up in a hospital that has requested one but after a year or so that position inevitably becomes "institutionalized" which is to say the hospital makes the game tech their employee and takes over their salary and we move on to fund a new Game Tech in another hospital.
