I don't really have anything to add about Overwatch 2's PvE mode that Tamoor Hussain didn't cover in their definitive GameSpot interview with Blizzard. Well, I guess I do have this mean comic. Overwatch 2 has been a bizarre bait and switch experience almost from the jump, the replacement of a sacred golden idol with a bag of sand. It's one of the most inconceivable maneuvers I've ever seen in my decades long observation of the industry. It's not "inconceivable," I guess. I can conceive it. It's just an act of such profound brand destruction that it's hard to contain entirely in the mind.
Oh! There's lots of updates over on Dire Wolf's CLANK! 2 Legacy Kickstarter, which features Jim Darkmagic's sweet villain arc. There's only seven days left, and it funded fast, but it's something you want to be part of. If you're looking for a fun, co-op experience with rad narrative mechanics and less setup than you sometimes see in the genre, definitely take a look.
I'll be joining the #Fridabe Streem as soon as I can , he usually starts around 10 but I gotta write Monday's strip. I'll be in when I wrap all that stuff up - he's been playing City of Beats as a warm-up, a roguelite "thingy" for lack of a better term, but with a crisp challenge delta, tight controls, and the fact that it just generates kick ass music the whole time you play. But he's ready to try something new, and it's Humanity - truly gonzo new puzzle shit from the creators of Tetris Effect, Lumines, and Rez. Then, we're gonna squad up with our pals Horsethief and Yukmouth for some Ravenswatch until 2 or so. It's gonna be hot shit.
(CW)TB out.
