It's just like I told Morak: not being down with hyperpigs is like not being down with OPP. It's simply an inconceivable state. A pig like this, so elevated above the others? Preapproved for a card with a good rate? He lives with somebody right now, but they're thinking about moving out? It's a full spectrum hog and these other hogs out here are fuckin' cooked.
It's really fun to see Mister Gribbz engaging in what can only be called "gabe posting" on the site. It's exciting for him to do anything he enjoys, because a couple decades of being around him has established that anytime he goes nuts on something eventually I will benefit in some way. Sometimes I just learn new words, like "kiss-cut" or "panel lining" or "slicks," but sometimes we end up, you know, working in brand-new forms of media multiple times over. Right? It's some of both. He also made me a special sticker for my birthday tomorrow! I can't stop winnin'.
But there's also the fact that whenever I engage with post-media forms of interaction like Twitter, I really feel like I'm just putting work into a false Internet that somebody owns. I don't think that their global dominion can be discounted and it would be silly not to try and utilize these corporate intranets to lead people to the work my friends and I do. I'm just saying that it has a taste. They all exert power over the work that is allowed to exist via a number of different levers, promoting whatever this quarter's newest KPIs from the top are. They're in the process of cannibalizing themselves, enshittifying. I can see another Internet from here, and it doesn't look like this. I just love that Mike's answer is to communicate more, here.
(CW)TB out.
