I will admit I did no research before drawing the Hyperpig in the last panel of today’s strip. So I am not sure how closely my take lines up with the Hyperpigs in Alastair Reynolds book series. I assume they are pretty close though.
I ended up getting sort of obsessed with this Hyperpig. I spent the weekend making stickers as usual and this little guy featured prominently.
I also cooked up a little Gabe paper doll sticker sheet at my wife Kara’s request.
This was actually a really interesting challenge to make. So far all of my stickers have had solid white borders which are easy to produce but when layering the clothes on Gabe these borders would have looked terrible. Figuring out how to do a borderless sticker was fun and it’s a technique I can see being applicable to some of my other grander sticker ideas like games.
I’m still tweaking the dress up Gabe sheet, but a version of it will be one of the stickers in our March sticker pack for Club PA members.
Speaking of which, Kara and I will be dropping off 200 February sticker packs at the office tomorrow afternoon. These will go up on Gabe’s Sticker Shoppe and be available for Club PA members sooooon!
If I am not actively designing a sticker I am probably playing Granblue Fantasy: Relink. Multiplayer is working now and I’ve been able to play with groups of randos as well as Kara who ended up grabbing a copy after watching me play for a few days. She saw the artwork for Rosetta and had no natural defense.
For my part, I can’t pick a main character. Each new one I try is so unique and fun I end up playing them for hours. It’s breaking all kinds of records on Steam right now and I am not surprised. It’s so cool seeing a relatively niche game like this get discovered and picked up by a larger audience.
I also saw something about Starfield possibly coming to the PS5 and all I have to say is, PlayStation users have done nothing to deserve this abuse.
